He is Risen

Handsome boys - all cleaned up!

It's Easter!!

Nona & Pa bunny gave us these precious beach bags and new swim suit outfits. Don't we look ready for summer!!? We got all kinds of goodies - WORD WORLD DVDs, Word World Tiger, glow worm, Thomas paint book, candy, COOKIES & much more......!
I am ready for the pool - Luke and Mommy are jealous of my BEAUTIFUL tan!!
I really like my new beach bag.

So much fun!!! Love my new swim outfit & have already watched my new Word World DVD 3 times!! Thank you Nona & Pa bunny.
This tissue paper is really cool.
Happy Easter!
Baba & Papa Bunny brought buckets of fun - new movies, play foam, bible song cds, lullaby cds, eggs field with candy and money, windmills, toys, art supplies and much more......!
A mini radio just for me?!? Cool - I will blast this all over the house for all to hear. It is really neat and I especially like the Spanish station on the loudest volume.
New movies :)!! Beatrix Potter series, 101 Dalmations and Dr. Seuss collection - this will keep me entertained for days.
Thank you Baba Bunny!!
Thank you Papa Bunny!
Easter weekend was a fun and eventful one around here! We had these wonderful Easter bunnies - Nona, Pa, Baba & Papa who gave Luke and Cade special treat bags and buckets. Then we went to a wonderful celebration party at church where we played in bounce houses, went to the petting zoo, got our face painted, went on an egg hunt and much more.... It was a great weekend to remember how blessed we are that Christ is indeed RISEN! The "stuff" is so fun, but He has given us so much more. And mama is excited that she can once again head back to Starbucks and Sonic. LENT was a long 40 days w/out my special caffeine treats :), but a sweet reminder of His tremendous sacrifice. One that I cannot fathom. Happy Easter!

Woodlands Road Trip

On the trolley...

Sun bathing!

Andrew & Em in the sprinklers

Luke and Em getting wet

I'm soaked and loving it

Luke, shouldn't you be pushing me??

Trolley ride!

This is so cool

Watching the crazy kids get soaked :)!

Mc'Ws @ the burger joint. Veggie burger anyone?

Precious Andrew - "a little Luke"

Could they be twins or what??

Sweet friends!

Reading bedtime stories

We took our first road trip with the boys last weekend and went to visit the McW's! It was such a fun time to get to see their family and new, beautiful home. We felt like we were in Colorado - the Woodlands is beautiful. We miss them being close, but are glad they are just a "road trip" away. It wasn't too crazy even though there were 4 red heads under one roof! Luke's favorite part was riding the trolley with Em. They were so cute hanging their heads out the window, laughing and squealing. Luke has asked many times to go on a fast trolley ride with Em again. And Andrew seemed to really love watching "Yuke" run around his house like a hooligan :). Cade was just along for the ride - hanging out and watching the action like usual! We enjoyed our time with you guys & hope to play again soon.

Cade's Baby Dedication

The fam

Daddy & Cade preparing to go on stage.....
Dark picture, but our Pastor does such a sweet job of praying for these chidren and of course the parents. We pray that our little guys will love Jesus and that God will give us daily wisdom as we parent them!
Luke did an awesome job standing on stage during his brother's baby dedication! However, he was making a strategic plan the entire time about how he could get to the microphone at the end.... Good thing mama saw that comin! Our little hooligan loves the mic.

We LOVE Lucy

Lucy, will you marry me? ANGEL
Cutest family ever!
Did she say yes??

I just had to share these precious pictures of our new friend Lucy! She is such a yummy bug and I could just eat her up. We had the opportunity to meet sweet Lucy a few weeks ago and I am just now downloading the pics. I am excited to see her again as I am sure she has changed so much already. Liz wanted to see these pictures, so I thought I would share them w/ everyone :)! BUT, Luke and Cade already have first dibs on her. I told Eraina that we'd love to pre-arrange a marriage of some sorts w/ either of our boys. Isn't she an angel?!? And Eraina and Bryan are the best parents ever! Love you guys & we are so happy for you!

Jotting Our Story

This blog will be my simple attempt at jotting down some of our families latest happenings for friends & family that we don't always get to see. And also a place for me to journal the fun stuff my boys say and do as they are changing so much each day. I have always enjoyed perusing other blogs and hope that more of my friends will start blogging so I can hear some funny stories & see pics of their munchkins more often!

“My story is important not because it is mine, God knows, but because if I tell it anything like right, the chances are you will recognize that in many ways it is also yours. Maybe nothing is more important than that we keep track, you and I, of these stories of who we are and where we have come from and the people we have met along the way because it is precisely through these stories in all their particularity, as I have long believed and often said, that God makes himself known to each of us most powerfully and personally.”

Winter Weather Storm Blast

Hermitage - St. Pete Red Square - Moscow
Now this is what I consider a "WWSB"! Russia Pic
WOWZERS!

Oh yes, the news had me in a bit of a "tizzy" today as I tried to figure out when I should pick Luke up from preschool.... Baba rang to report the terrible weather where she was as the TV was telling me that we were experiencing a WINTER WEATHER STORM BLAST. And I'm just sitting around the house trying to figure out what in the world WINTER WEATHER STORM BLAST means? Well, after 31 years of being a Texan and some deep thinking today, I think I've maybe got it figured out.... A WWSB can mean icy patches on the sides of roads caused by overnight sprinklers, ice on bridges and overpasses resulting in all out panic, horrific driving & CITY WIDE CLOSINGS or the occasional "oops we totally missed and thought it was going to be a WWSB - instead we have sunny skies & light rain." But, today it meant a sleet/snow mix that allowed for a pretty good snow ball fight, lots of fun & some yummy hot cocoa afterwards. We didn't have enough to build Frosty, but we'll hope for that when the weather channel tells us we are going to have another WWSB.

Oh, and for our little Russian snow baby (who got shorted an hour or so of preschool today because of the Texas WWSB), I have added some pictures of what I think a real WWSB would look like - in Russia of course!
