Disney World

I am so behind on getting things blogged.... But, wanted to share some fun pictures from our trip to Disney World. The boys had a blast riding all of the rides, meeting favorite friends, watching Disney parades and shows. Luke was quite the dare devil and couldn't get enough of all of the rides - he was trying very hard to explain that he really was tall enough for the large roller coasters! :) Bless his heart, he wanted so desperately to ride those "bigger boy" rides. He says that his favorite ride was Splash Mountain - I thought surely it would scare him to death, but he wanted to go back for more. We spent lots of time at Magic Kingdom, but also got to play at Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios - phew, there is truly so much to do!! (BTW, if you ever head to Epcot, make sure to try the Beverly soft drink at the international Coca Cola station where you can try sodas from all over the world.) Luke also had the opportunity one night to head back to Magic Kingdom with mom, dad & Uncle Mike for the Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. He trick or treated with many Disney characters and had the opportunity to see the Halloween parade and ride many more rides (NO LINES)! :) I think all of the adults" had just as much fun at Disney as the kids - especially watching the kids stand in awe of all that there was to see and do. We also all realized that Cade has a girlfriend... he was absolutely in LOVE with Minnie Mouse. He grabbed sweet little Minnie for hugs and we had to pry him off of her. And Cade is a pretty strong little man, but he did NOT want to let go of that pretty little mouse. Nona, Pa and Uncle Mike we had such a fun time hanging out with you for the boys first trip to Disney World! Nona & Pa we are so grateful for your generosity, it will certainly be a wonderful memory for all!!

First Day of Pre-School!!

Luke had a great first day of preschool! He loves his sweet teacher, Ms. Pat. We are looking forward to a fun year.

Nemo & Friends Celebrate!

Luke and Cade had a blast at their NEMO & friends party at the pool. Luke stayed in the pool for about 4 hours straight that day (sticking his head out for some cake & the birthday song) :). He sure did love it when everyone sang Happy Birthday to him. He looked so happy and proud. Cade enjoyed watching all of the action, swimming and eating Chick Fil A for lunch! Cade's "smash" cake was smashed in more ways than one :) which made for some exciting birthday drama! Thanks to everyone who came to swim & celebrate with us. It wouldn't have been a party without ya!

4th of July Celebration

Some of our dear family friends invited us to celebrate the 4th at their beautiful lake house with their children and grandchildren. I have grown up with this precious family and the weekend brought back many lake memories of times spent with their family growing up. It is so fun to now see our kiddos play together. Luke had a blast working a lemonade/popcorn stand with his friends (btw, they made a lot of money), roasting smores/hot dogs, riding the "Kangaroo" on the lake, swimming w/ his buddies, chasing little Gracen all around & watching a spectacular fireworks show in the yard that was literally right above our heads. Thank you friends for a weekend filled with great 4th of July memories! Much love to all of you...
